Recently a client was telling me about all the renovations planned for the INSIDE of their home to make it more appealing. It was a long (and expensive) list.
While the house is cute, the front elevation or the exterior, is bland. I asked the plans for the outside and was told they had none – it would stay the same.
This is a huge mistake. The outside of a home draws the buyer inside. Buyers driving by a home are 100% more likely to go inside if they feel the home is attractive and inviting.
Front doors, lovely colors, decorator touches. Home decorating is not just for the inside of a home anymore.
Thinking of selling? Let me help you get your whole house ready…not just the interior.

I love decorating outside the box. I like unusual things. I like quirky. I like charming. I have some of these cute school chairs that we used to sit on in school. I think I’ll steal this idea that I found on one of my favorite blogs.
Blue looks grand in this setting. Don’t you think?

I love homes that have a lot of character.
There is nothing wrong with the cookie-cutter subdivision but as for me, the older homes carry their years with charm, character, and unique styling. No two homes are the same.
I love it.
Personalizing Their First Place
For more than a decade, as they lived in rentals in New York and California, Katy and Ken Byers were squirreling away design ideas for their future forever home. So when they relocated to Nashville, TN, in 2013 and snapped up a new-construction Craftsman-style bungalow, they knew exactly how they wanted to modify it. “After being nomadic for years, we were excited to own a home and finally make it ours,” says Katy. The couple, free of the decor restraints imposed by landlords, started customizing almost every inch of the 3,100-square-foot space.
I am always so impressed with how the woman of Paris can turn 500 square feet (give or take a few feet) into a chic and cozy Parisian apartment. Sign me up. I swear I could do this.
Homes like this re-define charming!
