I am constantly amazed by the imagination and beauty of lighting in today’s world. My mother was an architect and I grew up with a back porch that was illuminated by lights recessed into the ceilings and disguised as stars. A memory so lovely that I still love the night stars.
My mom would approve.
Wallpaper is making a HUGE return to interior design and decorating and I love it. Doesn’t this add a lot of character to the room?
I love the look of these kitchen countertops made of recycled glass!
Would you do this in your home, or do you prefer granite?
Let’s see…color, whimsical art, mixed patterns, and soft lighting.
Yep, I love it.
I am really getting excited over the use of black framed windows. They really stand out and create a beautiful visual.
If it suit your home style, use the black. It’s back.
Consider painting those vintage pieces like the salmon colored secretary shown in this photo. I kept my grandmother’s desk and said goodbye to dark brown and hello to chartreuse green at my house. It looks grand.
I think my grandmother would approve.

When it comes to selling homes, the most important room is often the kitchen. It’s where most of the action occurs and where you really define your home. Yes, I know this is busy, but these folks have a sense of purpose in their kitchen and I just feel the urge to sit down, chat, and have a cup of joe. Don’t you?
